South Peninsula Hospital is taking extreme measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our patients and staff during this pandemic, and to expand our capacity to care for those in need. We know routine healthcare must be safely available, so that’s why we’ve instituted the highest level of safety precautions for patients, visitors and staff. Read about them here . Visitation Level – Minor Entrance to our facilities is limited to only those with appointments for medical care or persons seeking care, and approved visitors. Based on the level of community spread of Covid-19 , South Peninsula Hospital’s visitation level is currently at: Minor Risk. This level means each patient admitted to the hospital will be allowed two designated visitors per stay. Inpatient visitation hours are daily from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Radiology, Surgery and Emergency Department patients are permitted only one visitor per visit. PT/Rehab patients can have one essential visitor if approved by PT staff. This precaution is to help safeguard the health and wellbeing of our staff, patients, and visitors so that we can continue to serve our community and provide you with the best care. All patients and visitors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and possible exposure, will need to wear a procedure mask, and will be restricted to certain areas within the facilities. Procedure masks are available at all entrances free of charge. Exceptions: Visitation for a patient with COVID-19 or under investigation for COVID-19 is permitted only one visitor. No visitors are allowed in Long Term Care See our Frequently Asked Questions for complete information on how we are preparing for and responding to COVID-19, and how this might affect you or your loved ones.
